Ligna - the company

The Ligna team are experienced designers and manufacturers of timber based products and have been in business for over 15 years. We use the latest CNC (computer numeric controlled) cutting machines to create our products which allows us to move away from many of the conventional shaped garden screens & trellises. As an example, take a look at most other similar timber & composite Fence Topper panels currently in the market- you'll see they all have borders and framed edges due to the material or methods they have to use to manufacture? - at Ligna we can produce beautiful panels with open, shaped edges that really sets your garden apart.

Our products

All of our products are carefully manufactured in our own workshops in the UK, using the latest materials. We monitor the trends in the garden market to ensure we have a product range that is relevant and accessible to everybody. We are a responsible manufacturer and do our best to take care of the environment, whether it be our for own staff or the way that we make, pack and ship our products, we truly believe every Ligna purchase should be an enjoyable purchasing experience for all our customers - after all, that is what we would want if we were Ligna customers.

What are Ligna products made from?

The Ligna range of decorative garden products are manufactured using a modified plywood designed for permanent outdoor use. This 100% durable, engineered exterior wooden ply has been designed for use in all outdoor applications, even in the most demanding of weather conditions. This material is given an innovative treatment during manufacture which renders the entire panel exceptionally durable as well as being immune to fungal and insect attack, it's also lightweight, strong and stable - ideal for use in gardens, parks, recreational areas and for furniture.

Why is this material suitable for Ligna products?

Up until now the garden screening industry has avoided using any plywood material as it was previously problematic to use without long-term issues, maintenance and is expensive to buy. As Ligna products are made from real, living wood, our products are ideally matched to the garden environment in appearance and suitability when compared to synthetic products such as plastic or composite. You can use Ligna either in it's natural wood finish or paint/stain it in a wide range of current garden colours, making it extremely versatile in use - just treat it like you would any other wooden based garden product.

Green credentials

At Ligna we believe in looking after our world. The Ligna garden products are fully recyclable and we are constantly aware of the effect on the environment at our manufacturing plant in the Kent countryside, ensuring minimal waste is generated where possible and environmentally friendly products are used as part of our manufacturing processes.

We have even thought about our packaging, using plain brown cardboard cartons, brown paper wrapping and recyclable paper tape to make it easy for you to dispose of in your normal domestic waste bins. No annoying bits of polystyrene to be disposed of or trips to the local recycling centre here!
